The delivery of Kahu Whakatere Tupapaku was supported by many attending the conference.  I was impressed to be able to deliver this project within a Maori academic arena and amongst those who were passionate about their topics.  Who knows where this subject maybe delivered again.

What an amazing Hui.  Met up with the right people.  Karl Russell thanks for the opportunity, this subject is worthy of restoring to our people to our hapuu.  Revitalization of ancient practices that will about change.  Well recieved.

Wainuiomata in Wellington

Te Akau and I (Maata) spent two days working with family at Wainuiomata marae and what a time we had teaching our skills.  The koroua (elder men) paid great attention to the knowledge of Te Akau while the women did the weaving.   Guess who finished first?
